I didn't know whether to post this or not.

Seals always come into the beach here in Hatteras during the winter.
They usually come in to rest and sun them selves I guess...
The last time I was able to photograph one I was still using film...

I took Jackson with me out to the point at sunset and there was one hangin' on the beach.
He looked to be dead at first but then after a while he/she lifted it's head.
So I was excited to get some photos.
It didn't even move when I walked over to it.
Once I started shooting he/she started to check me out.
The more I shot the more I noticed something wasn't right.
I am not going to speculate how it got injured.

I felt really bad for the poor guy/girl..
I melted when Jackson came up to me and said that he prayed for the seal.

Was cool to be able to photograph a seal, just not under these conditions.

That's why I still don't know if I should post..

But I am anyway...

Sorry if it offends anyone.

Walternate Beach

Today was Walters first day at the beach.
He was psyching..
Runnin' like a dog possessed...
He turned into Walternate as soon as feet hit the sand..

The sensor on my camera has dust particles...
Too many to count.

There was some surf yesterday.
There was also a lot of wind too.
I stood on the beach for about an hour just getting sand blasted.
I ended up hunkered down behind one of the houses @ Sturns.

Really pretty for photos.
Not so much for surfing.
Really fast.
Really shallow.
Really closed out.
But pretty...

Oh, I have to send off my camera to get cleaned.
Over the dust.

The wind slop from my last post cleaned up.
Yesterday morning was about as nice as it can get here in February...
Weather wise...
Only had about 40 minutes to shoot.
Wish I would have had more time.

The wind is honkin' right now....
Hopefully the water is warming up as I type.

Nor' east_wind_slop

I am getting fat....
I made myself go to the gym yesterday...
I am probably in the worst shape of my life.
So after getting my swell on at the gym, and feeling a little better about my self,
Gnarly Barley convinced me to go stand in freezing nor' east wind.
We shot for about an hour or so.
There was absolutely no one on the beach.
Too miserable to be out there really..
It was just us and the birds.
The lighting ended up getting pretty cool towards the end.
It was just wind slop, nothing to get to excited about...
Time to take some Ibuprofen.
I feel like I got hit by a truck..

Old Paintings_Old Decks...

I was trying to find some photos on my Desk Top today.
I ran across these photos of a painting that I did for DJ Struntz.
I think this is from two years ago.

I am not really into paining on canvas at the moment.
I have a bunch of old decks that I am going to paint soon.
Thanks sevenply...

Stay tuned...
