Painters Block...

I am suffering from painters block.
I seriously just went through 5 months with the illness.
I had been promising my wife a painting for years now.
I finally made good on that promise, but it was like pulling teeth.
I have boards I need to paint that I have been putting off for months.
Hopefully I can break out of this funk.
Right now I have zero urge to paint.
Not one of my better paintings but it was all I could do to finish it.

Poormans Snow...

I live in a place that rarely gets snow.
About once every ten years we get dumped on.
I was out of town with my fam so we didn't get to witness all the snow.
So we improvised with the kids.
Leaves don't get your jeans wet and you don't have to wear gloves...
Me and the kids were still bummed that we missed all the snow...

Sunny

5 minutes of fun sun...
The sun came out for about an our this afternoon.
That was short lived after a crazy looking fog bank rolled in.
This time of year when ever it warms up a bit you get lots of fog.
Pretty cool for photos but I am ready for spring.

Foggy & Cold

The Atlantic finally came to life today.
Too bad it was cold and foggy all day.

I am ready for some sunshine
and
some warm weather...

Good Friends, a Dog named Rider, and a Peacock

My family and I went to visit some friends in VA this weekend.
Our friends live close to the York river.
While we were there my friend Dan,
his 6 year old son Reece, and dog Rider went duck hunting.
I went with them to get some shots of Reece in action.
The ducks never came, but we still had a great time.
We ended up getting to see a peacock... i got some "shots"... but don't worry we didn't shoot it!
It worked out great for me, but Reece was bummed.
Great weekend: Great time with friends: and awesome to see Reece and his dad in their element.

Cigars and Silhouettes

Nothing like a good cigar, some fishin' and a sunset with the fam.
I take this place for granted a lot of times.
I need to be better about taking advantage of my surroundings.

Foam Mower

I sat in one afternoon while Scott Busbey was making a surfboard.
Shaping a surfboard is a pretty interesting process.
Scott has been shaping for a long time..
This is Eric Ensenat watching Scott shape his board.
