I took advantage of the unbelievable weather we are having last night.

It was super clear down here on Hatteras.

These are about 50 sec or so exposures.

Used a flashlight to fill is with some light to show detail.

It was pea soup out there this am.

First real swell we have had in a while.

First real fog we have had in a while too.

 

Don't let the photos fool you, the surf was kinda weird.

 

When they hit the bar just right though...

There were some good ones to be had.

I drove out to the point this evening.

Had it all to myself.

It is a shame that this is closed for 4 to 5 months out of the year...

Fail

This was an attempt at a wetsuit ad shoot.

I failed.....

I look at it and I see everything that is wrong with it.

ie. Lighting, Lots of Noise, Bad Color Correction....

These were taken 2 years ago almost to the day.

I would love to have this evening all over again.

Every year I want to do these kinds of shoots out in the sound.

It only gets glassy like this a hand full of times a year.

Looking for a new model because I think Brett is over it...

The water temp in the sound this evening was upper 30s..

Too cold...

I would love to have this trip all over again.

I had no clue what I was doing.

I was shooting everything in jpeg.

We got incredible surf one of the 12 days that we were there.

I didn't switch up my perspective pretty much all day..

Rookie.

At the time I had a housing and I didn't even really know how to use it.

I pretty much blew the whole trip.

The best photo I got was the first photo here of Morgs.

I didn't even know that I was shooting a speed blur.

Ignorance is Bliss...

Maybe one day I will be able to go back...
